Reach for
the Peaks
The beautiful San Juan mountains serve as a spectacular backdrop
for this annual event, so get ready for an incredible weekend
complete with color, excitement and high flying fun!
We're working on this year's list, but last year we had close to 60 pilots registered to fly, each in a colorful
hot air balloon vying for your eye!
This year marks our 23rd year, with the first Colorfest Hot Air
Balloon Rally in 1986!
Schedule
Saturday, September 20
8:30 - Balloons launch in the Hot Springs
area off of Hot Springs Blvd. and behind Bank of the San Juans.
Dusk - Balloon Glow at Steven's Air Field.
Directions: Hwy 160 to Piedra (by Fina gas station, Sonic and Ponderosa Do It Best). Air Field is about a half mile down on your right.
Sunday, September 21
8:30 - Balloons launch in the Pagosa Lakes
area, each in a location of the pilot's choice. Pagosa Lakes
is North of Hwy 160, between Piedra and N. Pagosa.
